Fernand Fernel (aka F. Cerckel), created a number of posters around the turn of the century, including this and others for Georges Richard Cycles. This poster formed part of the famous 'Maîtres de l'Affiche' Art Collection, published during the Belle Époque in Paris. The four-leaf clover was the trademark of the Georges-Richard company, and appears on all their advertisements.
